Objective Function

Objective Function

An objective function is a criterion for optimising among a set of possible choices. In decision analysis, the objective function consists of the utility function applied to the value model. However, during the deterministic analysis phase of the decision analysis cycle (before a utility function has been developed), the deterministic basis serves as a surrogate objective function for sensitivity analysis.
