Money Pump

Money Pump

A money pump is a situation in which an individual is made to give away willingly all his or her assets. For example, a money pump situation can always be constructed for individuals with intransitive preferences (ie, for whom preferring outcome A to outcome B and outcome B to outcome C does not imply that outcome A is preferred to outcome C).
