Decision quality for charities

The principles of better decision making apply just as much to the not-for-profit sector, albeit perhaps with a refined approach to making value trade-offs.

I am keen to provide pro bono consulting to charities whose causes I support. As a committed Christian I am interested in developing better leadership in the local church (that’s the local church everywhere, as well as my local church) and in social justice. I also want to help research-oriented medical charities allocate their R&D resources better.

I am presently:

  • Treasurer of St Thomas with St Stephen, a Church of England parish in south London
  • A trustee of Futures Theatre Company, who use drama and issue-related workshops to tackle difficult topics such as sexual health, drug awareness, conflict resolution, racism, bullying and mental health
  • A trustee of Core, a charity which funds research into the entire range of gut, liver, intestinal and bowel illnesses, allocating about £1 million annually to research projects.

If you are a leader or a trustee of a charity that could use my help, do contact me.
