I brought alignment to the IT arm of a leading chemical company deciding on the future of an overseas programming and support centre. Simple economics favoured shutting the facility down. However, putting costs and probabilities to the potential large impacts on the company’s HR strategy and its ability to respond to a business discontinuity led to an alternative valued at $60 million more than shutting down.
