A deterministic assessment is an indirect assessment that assigns a deterministic function to an uncertain variable represented by a frontier node in a relevance diagram. Each argument of the assigned deterministic function corresponds to the outcome of the frontier node's new direct predecessors. If a corresponding direct predecessor node is not already part of the relevance diagram, it is created as part of the deterministic assessment.
