Creating a Node

Creating a Node

In editing a relevance diagram, creating a node is the operation that constructs a new node. Creating a node involves giving it a name, defining its type (eg, chance, decision, deterministic or value), and describing such internal features as its outcomes (chance node), its probability distribution (chance node), its alternatives (decision node), its deterministic function (deterministic node), or its value model (value node). If the node is only defined at the level of structure (ie, if only its name and type are defined), it becomes a frontier node.
